A dream has turned into a reality for the Winstead family of Martin. While the name is synonymous with property in Weakley County as they have been a staple for the last 21 years, the family-run enterprise is growing by leaps and bounds.
“Our group is responsible for the representation of land and assets located throughout Northwest Tennessee. We want you to have the highest expectations possible. Our company is committed to continuing our education in order to remain current with changing market values and the rising demand for property. Winstead Real Estate and Land Company is the solution for you, whether you are interested in either making an investment or locating a new location to call home,” the company’s website notes.
Winstead Real Estate and Land Company is the newest full-service, real estate and property-management company in West Tennessee. Under the direction of Koltin Winstead - its principal broker -the team is ready to help community members buy, sell, remodel or manage properties.
In February 2020, Koltin joined the Fuller Partners Real Estate team under the late Dee Pritchett. He was an affiliate broker for the company. As an entrepreneur, Koltin had dreamt of having his own company geared to real estate. That dream is now a reality.
He and his partner, Kaine, who is also his brother, are second-generation in the real-estate business. Both hold degrees in agriculture engineering from UT Martin, making their knowledge ideal for land for agriculture production and specialized land-management services for hunting clubs, wildlife preserves and recreational areas.
Koltin said he has always enjoyed working with family members and Winstead Real Estate and Land Company is a family affair. Working alongside Koltin and Kaine are their wives, Joy and Averi. Koltin is licensed to sell real estate in the State of Tennessee. The team is a part of the Reelfoot Regional Association of Realtors MLS listing service, which serves Weakley, Obion and Lake counties. The company is also a member of the National Association of Realtors.
Property listings may be found on realtor.com and Zillow.com.
When asked about challenges for buying and selling homes, Koltin said high-interest rates are one of the major challenges. Koltin said they work with local banks and mortgage companies to help buyers find the best interest rates. They have been successful at helping buyers secure 100-percent USDA loans.
The Winstead team handles more than just real estate buying and selling; the company also offers remodel services for properties they manage. Over time, properties may fall into disrepair due to long-distance owners. The Winsteads can manage the property and make necessary remodels to help get a property in shape for selling or leasing.
From land to dream homes to thriving commercial spaces, the Winstead team can help make it all happen. To find out more, visit their website at www.winsteadrealestateandland.com. Their office is located at 501 Main St., Martin. Or give them a call at 731-504-8969.
Community members are invited to the team’s ribbon-cutting event at their office location at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, as they officially celebrate their grand opening.
