Weakley County Offices Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness

WEAKLEY COUNTY PINK OUT DAY – It has become an annual tradition for Weakley County employees to don their pink apparel in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October. Friday, October 23, served as Pink Out Day for county offices. In social media messaging, it was noted that although this year's Pink Out looked a little different with masks worn until time to snap the photo of all who were screened for COVID-19 in county government offices, it was important for the groups to participate in this day out of respect and support for the many colleagues, loved ones and friends of the group who have been affected by breast cancer. “The best protection is early detection, and our group is asking you to get regular checks and urge your loved ones to do the same. We wear pink in honor of those we've lost; in celebration of those who have won the fight and in support of those who are still in battle,” Weakley County's Facebook page noted. The pumpkin T-shirt design was created by Maegan Jolley of Jolly Lane Designs.
