Virginia "Dot" Ferrell June 1, 1933 - October 16, 2024

Funeral services for Virginia “Dot” Ferrell (91 years old) will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Dresden’s Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Mack’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1090 Palmersville HWY 89, Dresden.  Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. “Dot” was born on June 1, 1933 to the late Johnnie and Annie Mansfield of Latham.  She clerked in many of the stores on the square in Dresden, was a member of Mack’s Grove Baptist Church for 68 years where she was the pianist and Sunday school teacher for many of those years. She is survived by her two children, Johnnie Ferrell of Avon, NY and Lana Ferrell of Dresden and many nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Ferrell, her daughter-in-law, Crystal Ferrell, and her two sisters, Vida Smith and Ruth DeStefano. Pallbearers will be Steve Baker, Gary Casey, J.C.Harrison, Ronnie Snider, Wayne Washburn, and Payton Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Austin, Jerry Moubray, Larry Moubray, and Jerry Snider. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
