Stephen Edward Legens, 74, of Dresden, passed away to his heavenly home on September 3, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris with his wife of 50 years at his side. Funeral services were Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Jolley Springs Baptist Church. Burial was in Jolley Springs Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at the church until the service time. Mr. Legens was born on June 29, 1947, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Carlee and Myrtle Lee Legens. He is survived by his wife, Donna Moon Legens of Dresden; sons, Rick (Tracy) Legens of McKenzie, and Randy (Myeesha) Legens of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Jean Perry of Gleason, and Christine (Howard) Allen of Dresden; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Nora Pickler, Ruth Whitney and Dorothy Farrar and brothers, Gilbert, Bill and Richard Legens. He loved Jolley Springs Baptist Church, where he was an active member, and was also a charter member of the Ore Springs and Como Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. He was a member of the Dresden Masonic Lodge, and a United States Army Vietnam Veteran.
