DRESDEN (September 30) – Farm Credit Mid-America announced last week it welcomed Ty Smithson as a financial officer to the Dresden office. Farm Credit Mid-America is an agricultural lending cooperative serving farmers, rural residents and agribusinesses throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. Smithson is available to serve farmers and agribusinesses in Benton, Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties.

Smithson brings a strong agricultural and finance background to Farm Credit Mid-America as he previously worked in lending for Simmons Bank and then at Greenfield Banking Company. He also earned a degree in agricultural business from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
