NWTN Eagle Riders Field of Flags Moved to Discovery Park

Posted

The North West Tennessee Eagle Riders Field of Flags will no longer be at the UTM campus. NWTN Eagle Riders were informed by Jake Bynum Chief of Staff to the Chancellor that the UTM ROTC would be taking over the Field of Flags on the campus. We wish them Luck on their success in placing and maintaining The Field of Flags.

The NWTN Eagle Riders has been invited to place their Field of Flags at Discovery Park in Union City this year. We will be placing our 400 plus Flags on May 17(Armed Forces Day) and removing them on May 31.

If you would like to sponsor a Flag for your Veteran or Patriot reach out to ANY North West Tennessee Eagle Rider. The cost to sponsor a flag is $20.

On May 17 NWTN Eagle riders will have a tent and booth set up from 9-12 for anyone wanting to sponsor a flag. The flags will fly from May 17-31 before coming down. On the 31st those who sponsored a flag will have the flag folded and presented to them with the tag. If you cannot attend in person please leave a phone number so you can be reached. Director Jackie Laird can be contacted at 731-364-5766

Thank You for your support in previous years and your continued support in the future.

The NWTN Eagle Riders are a group of men and women riding to honor our veterans. We strive to support veterans and their families in any way we can in a respectful way. The American Veteran served and sacrificed to keep America free. It is our duty, honor, and privilege for “All Gave Some, Some Gave All.” Freedom isn’t free.

In addition to the foregoing, the NWTN Eagle Riders declare that they are NOT a motorcycle club under any circumstances or understood definition. This organization is a Veterans and Military support organization, whose mission and purpose shall include the following events.

-Maintenance and preservation of the B-17 Memorial and Paver Stones located in Weakley County, TN.

-Sponsoring and overseeing the Field of Flags for Memorial Day each year.

-Sponsoring and Overseeing the Candlelight and Flags Memorial at Eastside Cemetery in Martin for Memorial Day and Veterans Day each calendar year.

-Placing and installing bronze foot markers for deceased veterans in cemeteries in coordination with all parties having a vested interest in the same.

-Hosting fundraisers and rides for members and interested parties to promote the cohesion of the riders and to further educate the general public of its mission.
