The Weakley County Ned McWherter Library will be holding their annual pumpkin decorating contest starting Oct. 17 when pumpkins can be picked up at the library. On Oct. 25 all entries must be turned in and judging will commence on Oct. 26. On Oct 27 there will be a party at 3:30 where awards will be handed out.
Awards will be for first, second and third place in four different age groups: 0-5, 6-9, 10-12 and 13+.
Rules are as follows:
Absolutely no carving—see how creative you can be without cutting.
One entry per contestant and work must be original.
Feel free to use paint, markers, crayons and any other accessories.
Pumpkins not picked up by Nov. 1 will be discarded.
The staff at the library looks forward to this event every year and can’t wait to see everyone’s decorated pumpkins.
