Molly Shannon Maddox Graduates from Berry College

Berry College in Rome, Georgia recently announced its newest class of graduates for 2025, and a Dresden High School graduate is a member.

Molly Shannon Maddox of Dresden earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Environmental Science and Secondary Education.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors).

While at Berry, Molly garnered other honors and activities.  She was the Outstanding Student in Environmental Science for two years.  She was a Lettie Pate Scholar, an award given to Christian women with financial need and includes a leadership training component.  She was a worship leader for Delight Ministries, a ministry to college women.  Molly was the Student Director of the Berry Outdoor Leadership Development Program, which offers teambuilding and adventure challenges for college and community groups in the Rome, Georgia area.  In addition, she was a certified TRX Instructor.

Approximately 550 undergraduate students received their diplomas, making the Class of 2025 the largest in the college’s history.  These students who began their college journey in the fall of 2021 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic showcase the resilience and spirit that Berry strives to foster.  This year's graduating class has achieved a wide range of accomplishments, with majors in areas such as environmental science, animal science, exercise science, nursing, psychology, biology and communication.

Molly is the daughter of Kerri and Mark Maddox.  Molly will be teaching Science to 7th grade students at North Forsyth Middle School in Cumming, Georgia next school year.
