MARTIN (June 3) — Fresh garden vegetables are available at Martin Farmers Market, which is hosting its season opening Saturday, June 6. The market will be open to drive-through shopping Monday and Wednesday 2-5 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 12 noon. The market will remain open June through October of this year.
Shoppers are asked to:
Know what they need ahead of time or have a list.
Bring small bills ($1, $5 or $10) or digital payment, to limit the exchange of money.
Sanitize hands and wear a mask.
Be patient with vendors and patrons.
Turn down the music and speak clearly.
Vendors will set up on both sides of the market. Additionally, vendors will approach vehicles as needed to take orders and payment.
Market organizers say they can scarcely wait to kick off another market season.
