Local Students Graduate from Union University

JACKSON (December 14) - Two hundred eighty-four students graduated from Union University Dec. 12 during fall commencement services of the 196th graduating class at Oman Arena.

Among those are students from Weakley County. They include:

  • Alex Dunn of Dresden – Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accelerated;
  • Carly Greer of Gleason – Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accelerated; and
  • Clay Marvin of Martin - Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner.

Ronnie Floyd, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention's Executive Committee, delivered the commencement address.

Located in Jackson, Union University is a liberal arts-based university affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Founded in 1823, Union is the oldest institution relating to the Southern Baptist Convention.
