Local Churches Hold Internet, Drive-in Services

WEAKLEY COUNTY (April 8) — Area church leaders are utilizing different methods to maintain communications with their parishioners during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

A sampling of local churches holding worship services over the internet includes Dresden First Baptist, Martin First Baptist, Bethel Baptist, Dresden Church of Christ, New Home Baptist, Greenfield Church of Christ, Greenfield Pentecostal Church, and Sharon First Baptist.

Bible Union Baptist Church is broadcasting services over the internet but will have a drive-in service on Easter Sunday.

Beech Springs Church in Gleason and Greenfield First Baptist are holding drive-in services.

Other worshipers are continuing to have services inside their church buildings, while maintaining social distancing. Sharon Church of Christ Preacher Larry Powers said, “We’re still having our regular services spread out over the auditorium, and taking all of the precautions to keep people safe.”

Bible Union Baptist Church is holding worship services over the internet. However, there will be a drive-in service on Easter Sunday.
