Kentucky Man Charged with Attempted Murder of Local Man

WEAKLEY COUNTY (November 30) — A Kentucky man was arrested this week in connection with the shooting of another man in Weakley County.

According to Investigator Captain Randall McGowan of the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, November 30, 2020, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force took a Kentucky man into custody, based on a warrant signed by Weakley County Sheriff's investigators, for Attempted First Degree Murder.

It is alleged that on October 24, 2020, Joseph Brown, 32, of Graves County, Kentucky, shot Tyler Forrester, 24, with a 12-gauge shotgun near downtown Dukedom and fled into Kentucky.

The gunshot victim was treated at a St. Louis, Missouri, hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Brown was located in Russelville, Kentucky, and is being extradited to Weakley County to face the charge.
