Jackson Woman Indicted for 1st Degree Murder and Child Abuse Charges

On Sept. 5, 2023, the September term of the Weakley County Grand Jury indicted Miyah Arae Clark, of Jackson, Tennessee, on charges of first degree murder and aggravated child abuse in Weakley County.

According to the indictment, on January 13, 2022, “(Clark) unlawfully, feloniously and knowingly treated a child eight years of age or less, in such a manner as to inflict serious bodily injury, which resulted in the death of the child.

In addition to the first degree murder charge, Clark faces aggravated child abuse, which is a Class A felony.

Clark was scheduled to be arraigned in Weakley County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Sep. 12, 2023.
