Jack Dempsey, whose CB handle was Skipper, retired at the age of 70 from driving a truck. He always said he never worked a day in his life because he loved trucking so much. He delivered houseboats with his wife, Jean, and they traveled together across the country and even to Canada delivering oversize loads. He was an avid fisherman and had a special spot on the Tennessee River where he loved to fish. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and teaching them how to cook. He loved to grow his garden and teaching his grandkids ins and outs of proper tomato planting. He loved a good laugh and would get so tickled to make others laugh as well. PeePaw the Jack loved his family and friends. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Monday, May 18 from 12-4 p.m., and Tuesday, May 19 from noon until the celebration of life at 2 p.m. +
