A noise complaint led to the incidental discovery of incriminating evidence and the arrest of two individuals on assorted criminal charges recently.

Daquan Dashaun Coleman Green is charged with child abuse and neglect, criminal impersonation, simple possession and possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

Brittany Nicole Price faces charges of child abuse and neglect, and criminal impersonation.

Both defendants are scheduled to appear in Weakly County General Sessions Court for their preliminary hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.

The incident that resulted in the defendants arrest occurred on Jan. 22 at 11:53 p.m., at which time Weakley County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Seth Callens received a call concerning an unwanted person playing loud music at Harper’s Trailer Park.

Upon arrival, Deputy Callens observed a grey, Ford Lincoln parked in front of a trailer and made contact with the occupants, 26-year-old Daquan Dashaun Coleman-Green and 29-year-old Brittany Nicole Price, and the officer told them why he was there.

Callens asked for their IDs and they both stated that they did not have any. When asked for their names and dates of birth, Price stated that her name was Nichole Joy with a date of birth of 06-24-1993 and Green stated that his name was Taveonte White with a date of birth of 08-09-2000. They stated that their ID’s were out of Illinois. After running both through dispatch, Deputy Callens came back with nothing.

When Deputy Callens had first made contact with the vehicle, he noticed smoke coming from inside and detected an odor of burned marijuana. The officer also observed that there was a small child in the backseat of the vehicle. Deputy Callens asked Price about the odor, and she stated that there was no marijuana in the vehicle. However, Green stated there was a smoked marijuana cigarette in the passenger seat.

After conducting a probable cause search, Deputy Callens discovered a small marijuana cigarette weighing 0.31 grams, as well as both of their Tennessee IDs with their correct names.

Price’s bond is set at $2,500. However, no bond is listed for Green.
