NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

Pursuant to the requirements of the State of Tennessee in the Open Meetings Act, codified at Tenn. Code Ann. §8-44-101 et seq., the following is published and made known to all interested persons: 

Tennessee Interlocal Benefit Solutions Committee will meet on April 17, 2026 at 12:00pm at Crockett County Schools Board Room, 403 N Cavalier Drive, Alamo, TN 38001. 

At the above referenced time and location, the Tennessee Interlocal Benefit Solutions Committee will hold a Regular Board Meeting to address board business. 

Per the Tennessee Department of Health, the public may attend in-person with no in-person restrictions.

INVITATION TO BID

The City of Dresden is requesting bids for 2 inches of compacted asphalt cement Tennessee Highway specifications 411-E on Evergreen and Parkway Street within the city limits of Dresden.  The bid price must include a tack coat, milling, and paving.  Paving of Evergreen Street will begin at McWherter Civic Center and continue to Highway 22.  S. Parkway Street will need to be milled prior to being paved.  S. Parkway milling and paving will be from E. Main Street to Evergreen Street.  N. Parkway paving will run from Main Street to Highway 89.  Bids must include all milling and paving and be good through December 2026.  

All bid materials must conform to the State of Tennessee specifications.  Core samples will be taken.

The resurfacing work must be for the actual length and width of the named street.  Any shoulder work such as grass removal will be the responsibility of the bidder and included in the bid price.  It is the responsibility of the bidder to measure the street.  Please contact Public Works Director Josh Lassiter before measuring the street.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  The best bid will be awarded a contract for all or part of the streets bid.  The City may require the contractor to perform other resurfacing work on existing streets.  The contractor will be expected to perform this work at the same per ton price as bid on this contract award.  

The deadline for submitting bids will be 12:00 noon Friday, April 17, 2025 at Dresden Municipal Complex.  A contract award will be made after formal approval of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen at the May 2025 board meeting.  Further information may be obtained by contacting Josh Lassiter, Public Works Director, at 580 Gaylord Rd. or by calling 364-3386.
