MEMPHIS - Roger Donaldson of Martin was elected President-Elect of the Tennessee County Commissioner Association during the Fall Conference held in Memphis recently. Donaldson was elected to serve as President for the 2022-2023 year.

Donaldson is a Weakley County Commissioner for the 8th District and serves as Vice Chairman on the Finance Way and Means Committee, Chairman of the Ethics Committee, Everett Stewart Regional Airport Board of Directors, Vice Chairman of the Public Works Committee, Broadband committee and is the former Chair of the Weakley County Nursing Home board.

Donaldson is a member of Central Baptist Church, serves on the Finance Committee and is the former chair of that committee. He is also a former president of the Martin Rotary Club and double Paul Harris Fellow.

Donaldson stated that he is looking forward to working with the TCCA Executive Director, Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA), state legislators and fellow commissioners across the state to further the advancement of Weakley County.

TCCA has 88 of Tennessee’s 95 counties as members of the association, representing more than 1,650 county legislative body members across the state. The Tennessee County Commissioners Association (TCCA) was created in 1969 to promote efficiency in county governments through those elected legislative bodies. Donaldson also serves on the TCCA Transportation Committee, Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Membership Committee.
