MARTIN (October 15) – The team of Carnk'D Up Garage, located at 849 Main St. in Martin welcomed members of the Weakley County Chamber of Commerce and the community to an official grand opening and ribbon cutting event held Thursday, October 15, 2020. Although the automotive repair shop has been open for nearly one year in Martin, this was an opportunity to thank the business community, as well as customers, for their continued support.
The family-owned-and-operated business is a full-service automotive repair shop. Owner Bryan Bray said he and his wife, Melinda, joined his brother Johnny Jaramillo in Martin for the business venture. While the couple is new to the region, they said they have been overwhelmed by the support and treatment of their family in this business venture.
“We would like to thank the community for showing such great support. Our first year has been amazing and we look forward to many more,” Melinda Bray noted.
Since the automotive repair shop is a family-oriented business, the team is made up of the Brays and their children; Johnny Jaramillo and his wife, Kayla, and their children; Andrew Dexter and the newest team member, mechanic Lawrence Britton. Business mascots include canine Blue, a silver Great Dane that doesn't mind opening the door for customers, and miniature Schnauzer Cooper.
Bryn Bray said eventually he hopes to get into the business of automotive restoration, adding his passion includes classic cars. Visitors may have already noticed a few “project” muscle cars and custom motorcycles at the business.
Crank'D Up Garage is open from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, give the team a call at 731-281-4180.
