Court Date Set For Pair Arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges

Two individuals face assorted drug and weapon charges, following an investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to official reports, on Sep. 16, 2023, the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, along with the DEA, 27th Judicial Drug Task Force and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at 107 Dustin Drive in Martin, Tn.

During the search, officers recovered approximately 210 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, drug paraphernalia, several weapons and an undetermined amount of U.S. Currency.

Those charged in connection with the investigation are Natasha Shawn Edwards, 45, and Robert Lee Buchanan, 53.

Edwards is charged with Possession of Schedule II with intent, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Schedule VI. The defendant is ordered to appear in Weakley County General Sessions Court on Oct. 25, 2023 for her preliminary hearing, and Edwards’s bond is set at $25,000.

Buchanan is charged with Possession of Schedule II with intent, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule VI, and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Buchanan’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 11 2023 in Weakley County General Sessions Court.
