WEAKLEY COUNTY (October 19) – Weakley County's active COVID-19 case count has once again surpassed 100 as of Monday, October 19, 2020, based on information released by the Tennessee Department of Health.
Monday's active count was 105 of a 1,433 total novel coronavirus cases recorded since March of this year. Weakley County recorded 25 deaths as of Monday. There were 1,304 cases listed as recovered and 12,645 negative tests conducted in Weakley County.
The University of Tennessee at Martin provides a daily report of the active number of student and faculty cases. As of Monday, UTM recorded 39 active cases of COVID-19 of students and four faculty members.
Obion County's active COVID-19 case numbers are more than doubled in comparison to Weakley County. As of Monday, Obion County recorded 221 active cases and 17 deaths. There were 1,398 listed as recovered and 11,934 negative tests recorded for the county. The total number of cases in Obion County was listed at 1,636.
Of a total 1,093 coronavirus cases in Carroll County, numbers reported Monday show 83 active cases; 24 deaths and 986 listed as recovered. There have been 12,409 negative test results for Carroll County.
Henry County is showing a steady decline in case counts, with 67 listed as active of 741 total cases. Henry County has recorded 10 COVID-19-related deaths and 10,859 negative test results as of Monday, October 19.
