This month’s Greenfield Book Jackets will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. in the library. Members will be discussing “All That Matters” by Jan Goldstein. We welcome new members, for more info contact the library.
Don’t forget we continue to offer the TN Boating Exam with no appointment necessary. We do not offer this testing after 4 p.m.
As a reminder, we are getting our library programs up and going again. We have our Monthly Book Club second Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m., Twisted Stitchers at 1 p.m., Game Day at 3-4 p.m., Thursday Storytime at 10 a.m. (beginning in June) and Legos on Friday 3-4 p.m.
Registration for the summer reading program began May 24. Stop by the library to sign up and get your goodie bag before they run out. Our Summer Reading Program Bash will be held June 30 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. We are having a touch a truck, petting zoo, reptiles, birds of prey, face painting, bounce houses and much more. Prizes for the readers will also be awarded on this day.
We are having an Acrylic Paint and Pour Class on June 15 10-11:30 a.m. for ages 5-12. There are only 9 seats available. The class for 13- Adult will be June 22 10-11:30 a.m. There are only 12 seats available. Contact the library for more information.
We still offering wireless printing, faxing and copying and ILL (Interlibrary Loan) services to our patrons. Don’t forget about using R.E.A.D.S. Overdrive (Libby App) for thousands of books and check out all the current magazines they offer online. Please check out the Libby App, there have been some changes made to help better serve our patrons. Remember we do issue “eCards” for people who only wish to access online books, call the library for more information.
Dr. Nathan Porter Library is lending Chromebooks to cardholders ages 18 years old and up who have accounts in good standing (no fines overdue items and no history of a delinquency). Since access to a Chromebook benefits the whole household, ALL members of a household must have accounts in good standing (no fines or overdue items and no history of a delinquency) to be eligible to check-out a Chromebook. Borrowers must provide a government or state issued photo identification at check out. Please contact the library for more information.
