This month’s Greenfield Jackets Book Club met October 14 at 10 a.m. in the City Board Room. The group discussed “The Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyes. We welcome anyone who would like to participate in the book club.

Due to COVID-19, all of our library programs are on hold except for our Book Club, which meets in a different building. As soon as the case numbers start to fall and stay down, we will re-open more library services.

Right now, you are required to wear a mask to enter the library. We ask that you use our hand sanitizer so you will be allowed to pick your own materials for check out. Adults must accompany children who enter the building. Currently, we have four computers open for one-hour usage. We are practicing social distancing by only allowing 10 people at a time into the library. We don't allow social gathering or public restroom usage at this time. We are sanitizing our books and shelves with a UV wand and using sanitizers on the computers and counters trying to keep it safe in the library.

We are still offering curbside service for those who do not wish to enter the library. Just call the library, let us know what you want or you can browse by using our online card catalog.

Are you registered to vote? Stop by the library and access the online registration. An online application for new voter registration must be submitted at least 30 days before the next election.

The library is hosting “One-on-One Technology Assistance” on the following Saturdays from 9-11 a.m.: October 17 - Resume Assistance, October 24 - Technology Assistance; October 31 - Library Resources; November 3 - MS Word, Part 1 and November 10 - MS Word, Part 2. These are one-on-one sessions by appointment only. These classes have very limited seating. You must have computer knowledge to participate in this class. Please contact the library for more information.

The library is a testing site for the boating safety exam. We have the test books available. No appointment is needed, but please call the library before you plan on taking the test.
