McKENZIE (June 16) — Bethel University resumes in-person classes for the fall semester, with the university taking necessary safety precautions to protect students, faculty and staff from COVID-19.
Classes at the McKenzie, Tenn. campus begin Aug. 10, a week earlier than usual, with the semester to end before Thanksgiving on November 20. Fall graduation is November 21.
“While some of our programs and services may look different, we are grateful to welcome students back to campus for fall 2020 and excited for our new students to begin their journey at Bethel with an on-campus experience,” Bethel President Walter Butler said.
The university is continuing to work on logistics and teams are in place to develop plans for campus dining, residence life, classroom space, housekeeping and other essential matters.
“The goal is to restore as much of the face-to-face experience as possible while taking measures to prioritize the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. We will continue to practice safety measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control as well as the state and local health departments,” Butler stated.
