The City of Martin and Rolling Thunder TN-6 invite people across Weakley County to help honor and salute all veterans and active military for the annual Veterans Day parade. The 2023 Grand Marshal is Robert Chappell. Chappell is the only remaining WWII veteran in Weakley County. There are only 160,000 WWII veterans left in the country. He celebrated his 100th birthday on Oct. 4.
The parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. The Missing Man ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the City of Martin Public Library Stage.
The parade route will begin at the corner of Lovelace and University Street and continue through Downtown Martin.
Parade participation is free. Businesses and groups are welcome to participate. All veterans and family members are welcome to ride or walk in the parade.

All veterans are invited to a free luncheon at the American Legion Post #55, located on Central Street in Martin, following the program. Lunch is hosted by Auxiliary Unit 55.
