SPAGHETTI SUPPER FUNDRAISER

The Sharon Senior Center will hold a spaghetti supper fundraiser on Thursday, September 21 at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit local military veterans through Rolling Thunder TN-6. Cost is $6 per plate, and carry out boxes are also available. Children under 5 eat free.

REELFOOT ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL

The 46th Reelfoot Arts & Crafts Association will be Friday, September 29, Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1. Admission is free.

FIRST ANNUAL SCOTT STEWART CORN HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP FUNDRAISER

This first annual corn hole tournament is a fundraising event for Scott Stewart, who suffers from life-threatening ALS. Get your teams ready and come out October 21 to the Gleason School front parking lot for the tournament along with concessions, door prizes and silent auction. Teams must consist of two players. If you want to play corn hole and do not have a team, show up and we will provide a team for you. Cost to play is $10 if registered before October 18 and $15 until the day of event.

ANNUAL DRESDEN ROTARY CLUB MUM SALE

PERSONALIZED READING CLINIC SESSIONS

The University of Tennessee at Martin Reading Center offers personalized reading clinic sessions for Students in grades 2-12 who have difficulty reading or are falling behind grade level reading standards. Students may enter this fall: Sept. 4-28, Oct. 2-Nov. 7, or Nov. 8-Dec. 7. Contact the UTM Office of Educational Outreach at 731-881-7082 to schedule a testing appointment.

Liberty Baptist Church Dresden will have revival September 17 – 20. Sunday night service at 5 p, and Monday through Wednesday service will be at 7 pm. Guest Evangelist will be Bro. Lebern Allen and everyone is welcome.
‘A Fun Night In The Park’ fundraiser

“A Fun Night In The Park” fundraiser to raise money for new lights to be installed at Greenfield’s tennis courts, is scheduled from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, at Greenfield City Park. It will feature: dinner, gospel singing, bands (including one from Westview), games, and tennis matches between the Greenfield Team and the Ladies League players. There will also be a silent auction that will include an Eli Manning autographed jersey, Notre Dame autographed football, basketball autographed by Geno Auriemma and the entire 2013 Connecticut National Championship basketball team, and much more. All of these events may be enjoyed for $5. A BBQ meal costs $7. The entertainment and meal are available for the combination price of $10.
A. Buran Austin Memorial Bridge dedication

Palmersville Historical Society will be hosting a Memorial Bridge Dedication Ceremony to honor the memory of the late A. Buran Austin, a beloved teacher, WWII veteran, and life-long citizen of the Palmersville area. The event will be held at the Historical Society’s building in Palmersville on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be Dr. Hugh Berryman. Mr. Austin’s sons and family members will be special guests. The unveiling of the signs will be held immediately afterward at the bridge located north of Palmersville on Hwy. 89 – although parking is limited there. A reception will be held at the building following the unveiling. The public is cordially invited to attend.
