Matter of Balance

Dresden Senior Center will have Matter of Balance, Chair Exercise classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. This program is free and beneficial to your health.


Pisgah Community Flower Fund

Commodity Pickup

U.S. Dept. of Agriculture commodities will distribute to eligible area residents on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday January 17 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 231 S. Wilson Street in Dresden. This is a drive-thru commodity distrubition. You must be signed up and have a BLUE CARD before the commodities date and follow map and arrangements. Last name A-L will pickup the 16th and M-Z will pickup the 17th.


Citizens Police Academy Class

Beekeepers Association Offers Course

The Northwest Tennessee Beekeepers Association will be presenting its annual BeeKeeper Short Course from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on January 19 at the UTM campus in the UTM Skyhawk Press Box. Follow the signs. The class for people intersted in bees and beekeeping. Registration at the door is from 8:30-9 a.m. and the fee is $30. Sidonia Community Fundraiser

The Sidonia Community Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Wild Game Supper on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at the fire department located 6 miles west of Sharon on TN Hwy 89. Serving will begin at 5:00 p.m.. A freewill donation will be accepted at the door. All donations will be used to meet the budget needs of the Sidonia Fire Department. In addition to the usual fare of grilled meats and trimmings, the department will be serving fish, barbeque pork, and deep fried turkey. Locally prepared desserts will follow.


Autism Support Group Meeting

The Autism Advocacy and Support Group will meet Friday, January 18, 2019, at 6:30 p.m., at The Ministry Center on Masonic Drive, which is behind First Baptist Church on 123 University Street in Martin. Laura Plunk, a teacher and therapist who works with special needs children, will be the speaker.


Palmersville Historical Society Meeting

Palmersville Historical Society will meet on Friday night, January 25, 2019 at 7 o’clock at their building in downtown Palmersville. The program will be on “The Ridgway Settlement” near Palmersville which was among the earliest settlements of Weakley County. All buildings will also be open on Saturday January 26th until noon.
