CORINTH BAPTIST CHURCH HOMECOMING

Corinth Baptist Church in Sharon will be celebrating Homecoming on Sunday, June 24 with an afternoon meal and singing featuring Second Generation. Singing will begin around 1:15 p.m. immediately after the noon meal. Everyone is welcome.

MEETING

The Board of Directors of Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council will hold their regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on Monday, June 18 beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Northwest TN Head Start – Early Head Start Central office located at 938C Walnut Avenue W., McKenzie

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

The Ned. R. McWherter Weakley County Library will hold its annual Summer Reading Program again this summer. Sign-ups for this program will begin May 21st and the event will end on June 29th. Anyone can register at any time through this program and prizes will be given to anyone who completes any of the activities. For more information contact the Ned R. MEETING

The Northwest Tennessee Development District Executive Committee and Northwest Tennessee Human Resource Agency Policy will meet in regular session at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 22; at Northwest Tennessee Development District and Human Resource Agency conference room located at 124 Weldon Drive, Martin.

PISGAH COMMUNITY CEMETERY

Donations are now being accepted for the continued upkeep of the Pisgah Community Cemetery on Hwy 118, north of Dresden. If you have family and loved ones buried there, please help us with a donation now or at anytime during the year. Contributions may be sent to Pisgah Cemetery Association, 233 Lee Road, Martin, 38237. Thank you for your support.

GREENFIELD LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Dr. Nathan Porter Library of Greenfield is holding it’s 2018 Summer Reading Program in the Greenfield City Board Room Sessions for the program are as follows:
Wednesday, June 13 at 11:30 a.m.; Wednesday, June 20 at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, June 27 at 11:30 a.m.; and Friday,. June 29 at 11 in the Library Conference Room.

SHARON MARKETPLACE UNDERWAY

The Community Renewal Committee in Sharon launched Sharon Marketplace will be held every Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. til 4 p.m.. All vendors are welcome and the setup fee is $5 per day. It will be located on the southwest corner of Front Street and Mill Street across from the fire department. Please call (731) 456-2770 or (731) 819-4284 with any questions.

BIBLE UNION CEMETERY UPKEEP

The Bible Union Cemetery Board if asking anyone interested in the upkeep and general care of the Bible Union cemetery to make a donation. They also encourage anyone that plans to purchase plots to do so now, so they will be able to select the site preferred. The cost of the plot is $250. A perpetual trust fund is in place to ensure the long timer maintenance of the cemetery. This cemetery is located on a well-traveled road and very well maintained in a beautiful rural setting mid-way between Martin and Dresden. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Ruthville Baptist Church is have Vacation Bible School with the theme “Hooked on Jesus” the week of June 18-22, running from 6:20 – 8:30 p.m. each night. Family Night will be Friday, June 22nd at 6:00 p.m. Each night, the church will have a supper beginning at 5:30 p.m. and then line up for VBS at 6:20. The church is located at the crossroads of Ralston Road and Vaughn Road (hwy. 190).
