Joseph "Joe" D. Smith, 80, of Martin died Friday, August 26, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Memorial Service and Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be Thursday, September 1, 2022, 6:00 P.M. at the Gardner Church of Christ in Martin. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the church until service time. He was a retired Command Sgt. Major for the Tennessee National Guard. He was born November 4, 1941 to the late Herman Smith and Mamie Smith.
