Library Receives Replica from Special Family

The replica of the Weakley County Library was themed after author Eric Carle.

Asher and his mother, Sam Davidson, pose beside a replica they completed.

Submitted by Librarian Candy McAdams

The Ned R. McWherter Weakley County Library recently had a special family construct a replica of the library and donated it to staff.

Sam and her son, Asher Davidson, created this replica by hand. They have a very detailed structure with lights that work and the children’s interior room has an Eric Carle theme.

Eric Carle is the author of several children’s books, and one very well-known one is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. It is currently on display at the Weakley County Library display case inside the entrance.

They invited everyone to come in and see this beautiful building that is so unique and creative.
