Sharing Information with Kiwanis

Dr. Phil Cavalier (Center), UT Martin Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, gave a presentation titled “Academics and COVID” when he visited Kiwanis on May 4. Dr. Cavalier mentioned the joy of being back in classrooms again after five semesters of making needed adjustments. He said that UTM has taken — and continues to take — precautions for the safety of students, faculty, and staff. He said that for the most part, UTM faculty and students made transitions smoothly from traditional to virtual and hybrid classrooms. Kiwanian Frank Black (L) introduced the speaker, who was presented a certification of appreciation by Annie Jones (R), immediate past president of the Kiwanis Club of Martin. A donation will be made to Martin Public Library in honor of Dr. Cavalier.
