FARM BUREAU WOMEN FIRST-PLACE ESSAY WINNER - Weakley County Farm Bureau Women recently conducted an essay contest for 5th-grade students in the county. The theme for this year’s essay was “Why is Agriculture important?” The first-place winner of the essay contest was Norah Ferrell, Central Christian Academy student. She is pictured with CCA Headmaster Larry Reagan, Weakley County Farm Bureau Women Chairman Linda Fowler and teacher Bethany Barnhart. The second-place winner was Ethan Carden, who is also a CCA student. Barnhart was awarded for having the Best Participation. Each winner received a cash award.[/caption]
