Farm Bureau Women 'Giving Back'

Weakley County Farm Bureau recently participated in the “Farm Bureau Gives Back” program, which helps connect consumers with today’s agriculture. The ladies donated $500 to the Weakley County Backpack Program. The goal of the Backpack program involves meeting the needs of hungry children in the local community by providing nutritious meals on the weekends and other school vacation days. Backpack board member, Mary Margaret Chester, is pictured receiving the donation. Farm Bureau women who attended the presentation included Janie Yeargin, Gail Tuck, Alice Ann Yeargin, Linda Fowler, Mary Margaret Chester, Terri Brundige, Janice Moore and Kathy Bates.
