Steve Vantrease (Center), chair of the Weakley County School Board, shared information about the ten schools located throughout the county when he visited the Kiwanis Club of Martin at the April 6 meeting. He said that the Weakley County School System is the largest school system in northwest Tennessee and the second largest employer. He also noted that the total enrollment in the county — as of January 2022 — is 4,186 students. Pictured with Vantrease are Bill Austin (L to R), Kiwanis vice president, and Kiwanis member Frank Black. Vantrease is holding a certificate showing that a donation will be made in his honor to Martin Public Library.
