Aamira Hugueley

Aamira Hugueley, a second grader at Gleason School, raised the most money for the Gleason School Library in the annual “Reading-Is-Fun-a-thon” fundraiser. Her total of $619 earned her the thanks of Gleason School Librarian Amy Lawrence and a tub of over 50 pop-it/fidget toys. By way of celebration, when the weather cooperates, she will also spray Lawrence with Silly String. During the fundraiser, Gleason elementary students worked together to raise $3727.64 for the library. Lawrence responded to the effort, “Thank you so much to the students who participated and to everyone in the community who donated to support the Gleason School Library. All money raised will be used to purchase student reading incentives.”
