WE CARE Ministries Needs

Donations and dollars spent in the WE CARE Ministries thrift store help the organization to assist residents in Weakley County. Household items become peas, corn, cereal, water and utility assistance, rental assistance, eye and dental care, school supplies for children and other assistance programs of this ministry.

Community members are invited to shop the Thrift Store every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Outside sales begin at 9 a.m. The Thrift Store is also open every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Outside sales begin at 8:30 a.m.

Items are showcased on the WE CARE Ministries Facebook page - WE CARE Thrift Martin TN. There is also a website, www.wecareministries.net.

Hours of public assistance are Mondays and Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m. Call 731-587-6257 for more information.

WE CARE has the following donations needs:

FOOD BANK: saltine crackers, oatmeal, and muffin mix.

THRIFT STORE: Gently-used household items, kitchen and cooking items, good usable furniture, chest of drawers, reusable plastic bags. They can no longer accept large TVs; they must be flat-screen TVs. The ministry does not accept donations of computer towers, monitors or laptops; built-in appliances, sofa bed, and paint from individuals or home-recorded VCR tapes.

MISCELLANEOUS: BOOKS (Christian fiction and non-fiction, romance, and mystery); Bibles for children and adults, western books, and children’s books.

If a receipt is required for donates items, they will be available: Monday and Thursday, 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. until noon. If receipt is not required, donated items may be dropped off at WE CARE, located at 530 N. Lindell St., Martin: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Closed on Fridays. Containers are also available outside at all times for donations if no receipt is needed.
