Rebecca Ruth ReaganRuth Reagan, 84, of Martin, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Martin. Funeral services will be held (today) Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Martin. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Gleason. Visitation was Tuesday evening at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m., and Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. Ruth was born November 23, 1936, in Murray, KY, to the late Grover Cleveland and Lora Dean Weatherford Merrell. She is survived by sons David (Tanya) Reagan of St. Joseph, TN; Gary (Dianna) Reagan of Martin; Larry (Sonya) Reagan of Dresden; Johnny (Betty) Reagan of Milan, and J.C. Reagan of Temple, TX; daughter Lora (John) Moseley of Martin; daughter-in-law Trenia Reagan Cupples; 26 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren with two on the way. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobson Reagan; sons, Charlie and Donnie Reagan; brothers, Paul, Brent, Vernon and Ray Merrell; sisters, Faye Taylor, Modena Sandusky, Estelle Crutcher, Velma Vickers, and Lorene Merrell. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Central Christian Academy, or the Agape House, both in Martin.
