DRESDEN (June 17) – Dresden High School baseball player Matthew Parker has signed to play at the college level with Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould, Arkansas.

Parker played baseball his entire high school career as a starting catcher. He was awarded the All-District Award when he was a sophomore and senior. He, along with the rest of the Lions Baseball team, was unable to place last year due to COVID-19.

Parker noted that he is very grateful to become a student athlete at Crowley’s. He will begin in August of this year.

Crowley’s Ridge College is a private, four-year, church affiliated but autonomous, coeducational liberal arts college, providing for its students a balanced course of studies, appropriate for Bachelor and Associate degrees. Preserving a commitment to a tradition of small class sizes and a philosophy of open enrollment helps the College maintain a focus on the whole student as an individual.
