Brad Childs 1934 - 2021

Brad Childs, 86, of Dresden, passed away Friday, June 18, at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, June 21, at 1 p.m. at Bowlin Funeral Home, with Bro. Terry Richie officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery near Latham. Visitation was Monday, June 21, at Bowlin Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Mr. Childs was born November 17, 1934, in Mantee, Mississippi, to the late John Robert and Erie O'fallon Ball Childs. He is survived by his wife, Robbie June Carney Childs of Dresden; daughters, Beth (Phil) Holloway of Sedalia, Kentucky, and Lori (Shane) Wray of Pilot Oak, Kentucky; grandchildren, William, Brette, Shawna, and Lauren; and five great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Childs was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild, Chris. He was a retired schoolteacher, deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Latham, Gideon, and a United States Army veteran. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers and gifts, donations be made to the Gideons International in his memory.
