UT MARTIN STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN MODEL UNITED NATIONS EVENT

Six University of Tennessee at Martin College of Business and Global Affairs students participated in the 2021 Southern Regional Model United Nations virtual event in which the team represented Israel on three committees to discuss disaster risk reduction, pandemic responses, mental health, UN peacekeeping and assistance for Palestinian refugees. The UT Martin team received the Honorable Delegation award, and two students, Cecilee Morris and Jason Repath, both of Troy, received the General Assembly Fourth with a Committee Award. More than 300 students from roughly 30 colleges and universities participated. The participating UT Martin students were Morris, Repath, Olivia Morris of Marion, Illinois; Sydney Fischer of Whitleyville; Gabrielle Warren of Memphis; and Avery Blanchard of Martin.
