April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

MARTIN (April 5) – Officials from around Weakley County gathered to sign a proclamation, which acknowledged that April 2021 was Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. In this proclamation it stated that nearly 4 million children live with abuse and neglectful households. The proclamation was also to highlight the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse for helping the community to end neglect and abuse towards children.
