Weakley County Courts Announce Continuation Dates

WEAKLEY COUNTY (December 28) - On December 22, 2020 the Tennessee Supreme Court issued a court order extending state of emergency and reinstating suspension of in-person court proceedings.

The Weakley County Circuit and General Sessions Office will strictly adhere to this order and has announced the following continuation dates for General Sessions and Circuit Court hearings.

The office will still be staffed and available for assistance to the public.

There is a black drop box located at the south side of the courthouse for filings, citations, payments, and other payments for those who wish to utilize the drop box.

When dropping anything off in the box, call 731-364-3455 to notify the staff of your drop off. Payments can always be made online at www.courtfeepay.com, over the phone or by mail.

The following court dates have been moved. Please note court dates for defendants that are incarcerated may differ from dates listed below.

General Sessions arraignments are at 2 p.m.:

• December 31, 2020 continued to February 8, 2021;
• January 4, 2021 continued to February 8, 2021;
• January 7, 2021 continued to February 11, 2021;
• January 11, 2021 continued to February 11, 2021;
• January 14, 2021 continued to February 23, 2021;
• January 21, 2021 continued to February 23, 2021.

General Sessions Preliminary Hearings are at 8:30 a.m.:

* December 30, 2020 continued to February 17, 2021;

* January 6, 2021 continued to February 17, 2021;

* January 13, 2021 continued to February 24, 2021;

* January 20, 2021 continued to February 24, 2021;

* January 27, 2021 continued to March 3, 2021.

General Sessions Review Hearings are at 3 p.m.:

* December 31, 2020 continued to February 11, 2021;

* January 14, 2021 continued to February 25, 2021;

* January 28, 2021 continued to February 11, 2021.

General Sessions License Court is held at 10 a.m.:

* January 8, 2021 continued to March 12, 2021.

General Sessions Trooper Court is held at 10 a.m.:

* January 22, 2021 continued to February 19, 2021.

General Sessions Financial Management Class set for January 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. has been continued to March 20 at 1 p.m.

General Sessions Driving School set for January 14 at 6 p.m. has been continued to March 11 at 6 p.m.

General Sessions Civil Dockets have been individually re-set. For those who have received a re-set letter by January 4, 2021, contact the office to confirm the new date.
