Mrs. Sandra Ann Mayo, age 84, of Dresden, TN passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN.
She was born on July 12, 1936 in Detroit, MI to the late Hugh and Bonnie Ruth Killebrew Harrison.
Sandra was a member of the Weakley County Church of Christ in Dresden, TN. After leaving Detroit she moved to Dresden, TN then moving to Nashville, TN and Bassett, VA. She and her late husband returned back to Dresden, TN in 2000 to retire.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Mayo McKee of Nashville, TN, two sons; Miles Harrison Mayo (Andrea) of South Fulton, TN and Madison Howard Mayo of Nashville, TN, five grandchildren; Kelly Austin (Ward) of Nashville, TN, Victoria Halbert (Bill) of Franklin, TN, Meghan Joy Mayo of Nashville, TN, Katie
Michele Mayo of Nashville, TN and Joshua Harrison Mayo ( Tori) of Rutherford, TN, four great grandchildren; Addie Patterson Austin of Nashville, TN, George Edward “Ford” Austin, IV of Nashville, TN, William McKee “Liam” Owens of Franklin, TN and Harrison Hubert Halbert of Franklin, TN and four sisters-in-law; Cheryl Harrison of St. Louis, MO, Jeanne Burch of Franklin, TN, Grace Parker and Judith Bradberry both of Dresden, TN and a brother-in law, James Mayo of Austin, TX. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Harrison Love and Judy Kay Harrison, a brother, Howard William Harrison as well as a son-in-law Victor Patterson “Vic” McKee. Her husband, William Thomas Mayo passed away December 18, 2018. Sandra left this earthly life on the eve of what would have been their 68th wedding anniversary.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11AM Saturday at the Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery in Weakley County, TN. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service. We appreciate your help in maintaining state mandated COVID restrictions by wearing a mask and maintaining the minimum of six feet distancing.
