Mary Catherine Ligon 1935 - 2020

UNION CITY - Mary Catherine Ligon, age 85, of Dresden, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020, at The Waters of Union City. Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, October 17, in Sunset Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Ligon was born in Weakley County on April 20, 1935, to the late Ray Rushing and Nell Austin Rushing. She worked at Kellwood and then as a housewife and farmer. She was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church near Latham. She is survived by her sons, Robert Ligon, David Ligon, and Edward Ligon; her brothers, Ray Rushing and Bill Rushing; her sisters, Joyce Campbell and Ludine Workman and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Ligon, and one grandson.
