Especially Aggravated Burglary, Theft Reported Near Greenfield

GREENFIELD (August 3) — The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person or persons involved in a break-in at a rural Weakley County residence just outside Greenfield.

According to Investigator Captain Randall McGowan of the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Monday, August 3, a residence on Meridian Road near Greenfield was broken into by one or more individuals.

The residents were at home at the time and confronted one of the suspects, who ran from the house.

Several items were reported stolen from the house.

A reward for information leading to an arrest in the case is being offered. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department at 731-364-5454. The identity of callers will be kept secret.
