Phase 1 (May 19)

There will be a limit of eight patrons inside the building at one time. As long as the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings every person must wear a mask to enter the building, except children two years of age and younger.

We encourage parents to please leave children home at this time because they will be included in this count. Patrons are encouraged to preorder items by phone or online using our card catalog. Each patron who wishes to enter the library to check out an item(s) will be asked to retrieve their item(s) bring them to the desk for check out and exit the building. Patrons are not allowed to browse the shelves.

We will have four computers available for public use by appointment only. Usage will be limited to unemployment applications, job searches, homework, emails, or any work-related activity. There will be a one-hour time limit that will be strictly enforced. After each patron is finished with the computer, the computers will be wiped/sprayed with disinfectant.

All children entering must be accompanied by an adult.

Items brought inside with the patron will be asked to place them in a designated area. Each item will be disinfected before being shelved. There will be a separate check in and check out area.

While following social distancing requirements (6 feet apart), patrons will not be allowed to read the newspapers, study or other gatherings inside the library. Patrons can continue to access the Wi-Fi service from their vehicles.

Meeting/children’s room will not be in use. No library programs will be taking place at this time.

We will be offering printing, copy and fax services to our patrons.
