Weakley County’s Memorial Day Program Canceled

DRESDEN — The county of Weakley’s Memorial Day program is canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rick McKenzie, Veterans Service Officer, released a written statement stating it is “with a heavy heart that we canceled the program.”

“This is a day to remember those that fave all for our country. We need to remember them even in times of trouble, like now. The American people have always done what was needed when called. There are still soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen around this world protecting us from harm, even now during this time of hardship.
