GREENFIELD (April 3) — Republican Tandy Darby announces his candidacy for the Tennessee House of Representatives, District 76 seat. Darby is a lifelong Greenfield, Weakley County resident, where he has worked at Greenfield’s Akin and Porter Produce for over twenty-five years. Darby, a Greenfield High School alumnus, is a first generation college graduate in which he attended the University of Tennessee at Martin on an athletic scholarship and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Business. Darby is a business-minded individual who is also actively involved in the business operations of Greenfield Laser Industries, SMP Marketing Produce, McCartney Produce, Innovative Livestock Services, and Darby Brothers Farms.

Darby has given back to his community by serving on several community organizations including Weakley County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Weakley County Leadership, Weakley County Economic Development Board of Directors, and Greenfield Banking Company Board of Directors.

When asked why he is seeking election this year, he said, “After watching from the sidelines for years, I find that the greatest opportunity to serve my family and community is by representing them in Nashville. My family and I have always tried to do what we could to improve our community and the lives of those around us. By taking that same mindset to our state capitol, I know that the entire 76th District will benefit.”

Tandy Darby resides in Greenfield with his wife, Kasi, daughters, Tess, Edie, and Sloan, and they are active members at Bethel Baptist Church.

Darby can be found watching his two daughters play basketball, one for the Lady Jackets, and one on her way to play for the Lady Volunteers. You can also find him under the Friday night lights running the chains at Greenfield High School football games or tending to his cattle at Darby Brothers Farms.

Darby has invested his time with the youth of the surrounding communities by coaching t-ball, softball, and basketball. Most importantly, Darby enjoys spending time with his family and loved ones. Darby is excited about the opportunity to serve the citizens of District 76 with Conservative values.

He looks forward to meeting and hearing the needs of the community during his candidacy. For more information about Tandy’s campaign, visit his website at tandydarby.com. Paid by the candidate.R15442
