Two Bound Over Following Stabbing Incident
A Paris, TN couple, charged in connection with the Aug. 21 stabbing of a Dresden man, had their cases bound over to Weakley County Circuit Court.
David Ryan South, 25, who resides on W. Wood Street in Paris, is charged with Especially Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Burglary.
Katelyn Mari Garner, 22, who resides at the same address, is charged with Aggravated Assault.
According to Ptl. Kyle Watkins of the Dresden Police Department, the victim, Anthony Jordan, of Dresden, had a puncture wound to his torso and a laceration around his right shoulder area.
After the Paris couple allegedly forced their way into Jordan’s house, Garner stabbed the victim, while South held him in a choke hold.
Weakley County EMS provided medical assistance at the scene, and Dresden Fire Department personnel set up a helicopter landing zone.
The patient was flown to Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville by Air Evac out of Paris. Jordan’s condition is not known at this time.
During South’s preliminary hearing, the defendant’s case was bound over to Weakley County Circuit Court. There was no bond listed for South.
Garner pled “guilty as charged” and her case was also bound over to Weakley County Circuit Court. Garner’s bond is set at $25,000.
