ESSAY WINNERS
The Ned R. McWherter Weakley County Library held an essay contest in conjunction with its recognition of National Take Your Child to the Library Day on Feb. 4. Students were asked to submit a response to the question, “Why are libraries so important?”. Winners received a $20 gift card from Wal-Mart. Emma Green (left) took the top prize for the elementary category and Ella Jane Bynum (right) garnered the award for middle school.
