Local 2021 Kiwanis Awards

LOCAL 2021 KIWANIS AWARDS — Pictured are three people who received awards from the Martin Kiwanis Club for their outstanding community service. At the September 22 Kiwanis meeting, each received a certificate and a check to present to a non-profit of his or her choice. Dr. Ann Gathers was named the 2021 Teacher of the Year and has shared her award with Martin Housing Authority. Lt. James R. Hatler (Center) was named the 2021 Lawperson of the Year and shared his award with the Carl Perkins Center. Capt. Kory Green (R) received the local 2021 Firefighter of the Year award and shared his award with the Anna Kate Wenz FIGHT Foundation. Green was additionally honored with the Kiwanis La-Miss-West TN District award. Not pictured is Harry Henderson, who received the local 2021 Layperson of the Year recognition and will share his award with WE CARE Ministries.
