Jerry Mack Sexton 1937 – 2020

Jerry Sexton, 82 of Dresden, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 2 p.m., at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery near Latham.  The family received friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m.

Mr. Sexton was born December 10, 1937, in Martin to the late James Robert and Ima Lois Roberts Sexton. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lewis Sexton; his sons, David W. Sexton of Joplin, Missouri, and Thomas Sexton of Newbern, Tennessee; daughters, Debra (Gary) Casey of Como, Julie (Robert) Baker of Dresden, Sherrie (Joe) Hayden of Martin, Jennifer (Jason) Kemp of Dresden, and Sandi (Connie) Roudenbush of Dresden; brother, Larry (Joy) Sexton of Martin; sister, Mary Nethery of Martin; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, B.E. Sexton, and Lynn Sexton; brothers, James Sexton, Billie Joe Sexton, Thomas Sexton; and 2 grandchildren.
