Gleason Police Chief Paul Eddlemon reported his findings regarding dilapidated buildings, that are deemed to be dangerous structures, to Gleason board members during Thursday night’s meeting. He listed three properties that must, according to city building codes, be repaired or demolished.
One of the top on the agenda during Thursday night’s meeting of the Gleason City Board was the problem of city building code violations.
The discussion centered on demolishing dilapidated buildings that are determined to be dangerous, and, if necessary, condemning the properties to recoup the expenses incurred by the city in tearing down the structures and hauling off the debris.
